She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Preston Hornbeck and Maudie Maire Devasier Hornbeck; her husband Joe Lucas Higgins; her daughter Deborah Jo Glover; her son-in-law William Glover; and her siblings, Clarence, Jimmy, Leslie, Larry, Jean Hodges and Linda Shelton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Daphne Jean Pike (Terry) of Palestine, Doris June Shafer (Billy) of Palestine and Denelda Joyce Michaelis (Gary) of Goodwin; and her sister Francis Marie Middleton of St. Petersburg, Florida.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
