She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, L. L. Botto and Nettie Jayroe Botto; her husband Emmett Shafer; her daughters, Laraine Shafer Cochran of Bolivar, Lynn Shafer Grimes of McLemoresville and Becki Shafer Lee of Palestine; and her brother Joe Botto. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
