With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Ruth Sitz Schaffer of Ozark, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 28, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Reed and Allie Sutherland Sitz; her husband Paul Henry Joseph Schaffer; and her sisters, Reeda June Kirby and Donna Lyndale Pendasulo.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Jo Thomas (Brent) of Emporia, Veronica Louise Lewis (Brad) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, John Reed Fisk (Sonjia) of Ozark and Tara Fisk Johnson of Ozark; her sisters, LaRue "Tootsie" Walden of Ozark, Patricia Janice "Necie" Drake of Cumberland, Betty Sue Gilmer of Clarksville and Regina Ray Hice of Ozark; and her grandchildren, Allie Nicole Thomas, Nicholas James Thomas of Emporia, Braden Vance Lewis and Venesa Bralen Lewis of Fort Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
