It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Monta Ray McClellan of Ozark, Arkansas, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Monta Ray farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Monta Ray is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Monta "Mun" McClellan and Mary Gelene McLaughlin McClellan. He is survived by: his wife Sandra McClellan; his daughter Jill Newsom (Chris) of Ozark; his grandchildren, Kirstyn Mayner (Lawson) of Ozark, Caitlyn Newsom of Ozark and Austin Newsom (Emilie) of Ozark; and his siblings, Joe McClellan (Debbie) of Ozark and Sherry McClellan of Ozark. He is also survived by one great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shaffer Funeral Home (2315 W Commercial St, Ozark, AR 72949). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Brannon Mountain Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers that family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
