She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Floyd and Annie Rose Skaggs; her husband James Elbert Gipson; her siblings, Elmer Hoyt Skaggs, Farris Lee Skaggs, Earnest Loyd Skaggs (Bob), Lester Floyd Skaggs, Ira Alvin Skaggs, Vanis Bee Skaggs, Hazel Evadean Farris and Edith Jewell Chrisman; her niece Toni Hunt; and her nephew Marty Davis.
She is survived by: her sister Violet Roseanna Woodard; and her nieces and nephews, Pam Dobbins, Connie Young, Peggy Brown, Tim Skaggs, David Skaggs, Brenda Miller, Richard Skaggs, Mitzi Kimbrough, Andrea Chrisman, Jonna Webb, Sonya Covaleski, Rhonda Nelson, Ronnie Davis and Russell Davis.
