He was predeceased by: his parents, Gussie Elam and Venney Elam (Barns); his wife Wanda Lou Elam (Williams); his children, Andrea Bartlett and Daniel Elam; his grandson Daniel Elam; and his siblings, Robert Elam, Mabel Elam and Virginia Curtis.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Elam (Stacy) of Oklahoma City, OK and Michael Elam (Ginni) of Sherman, TX; and his siblings, Carlos Elam, Nancy Pool and Sandra Trussell. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
