He was predeceased by: his parents, Dexter Raper and Fannie Raper; his wife Idell Raper; his son Jimmy Raper; his siblings, Ottis Raper, Lenoard Raper, Lawrence Raper, Blanche Green, Bessie Brown and Bernice Ritchey; and his sons-in-law, Phillip Wright and Paul Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Irene Jackson, Barbara Wright (John Madigan), Dianna Clauss (Damon) and Dwayne Raper (Jeanie); his daughter-in-law Pat Raper; his sister-in-law Margaret Raper; and his extended family, Emmanuel Brown and Louis Dyche. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
