He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Dempsy and Velma Eloise Scott; and his sister Shirley Novak. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Scott; his daughters, Stacey Hurley (David), Lynzie Herron (Tony), Kellie Jordan (Joe) and Becky "BJ" Bennett (William); his grandchildren, Madison, Matt, Maci, Ali, Lilly, Alayna, Drew, Ella, Rileigh and Carson; and his brother Davie Scott (Cherrie). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
