She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Lee Brown; her daughter Ardell Brown; and her siblings, Julia Mae Williams, Beatrice Bass, Katherine Wallace, Annie Mae Iston, Mary Lucille Jackson, Johnny, Freddie, Crock Jr., Sammy and Charles James.
She is survived by: her sons, Dwayne Brown (Tavara), Emmanuel Brown (Tommie Smith) and Zachery Smith; her siblings, Linda Sue Thompson, Frank James (Jean) and Herman James; and her grandchildren, LaCaressa, Tyress, Onie, LaTasha (Jerald), DeJuante, Dwayne, Chandell (Terrence) and Cameron Brown. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
