He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Downes and Nellie Downes; his wife Janell Downes; his daughter Jeannie Anderson; his siblings, Joyce Stites and Bill Downes; his grandson Kenny Downes; and his great grandchild Wesley.
He is survived by: his children, David R. Downes of Ward, Richard Downes (Marion) of McRae, Pam Payne (Larry) of Oppelo and Allan Downes of Cabot; his grandchildren, Becky, Vicki, Rochelle, Nyla, Ashley, Chris, Crystal and Angela; and his siblings, Ace and Grover Downes of Harrison. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
