She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lee and Willo Dean Caldwell Furr; her husband Orville Buchanan; her brothers, John Furr and Vernon Furr; and her grandson Nathaniel Furr.

She is survived by: her children, Tim Furr (Kathy), Shannon Benefield (Tony), William Phillips, Bobby Jones (Hiram) and Becky Teeple; and her siblings, Val Daniels, Gloria Shafer, Dan Furr and Doug Furr. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
