He is survived by: his wife Melba James Pitts; his children, Kenny Don Pitts, Cindy Dodorico (Kalibe) and Richard James; his siblings, Bob Pitts (Kathy), Randy Pitts (Betty), Loyd Pitts (Rhonda), David Pitts and Diane Kimbrell; and his grandchildren, Kalibe Pitts, Cody Pitts, Carie Lynn Pitts, Jacob Dodorico and John Dodorico. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
