He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Pitts and Leslie Pitts; his former wife Lizz; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Pitts, Alford Pitts, Henry Pitts, James Pitts, Eva John Pifer, Jesse Vann, Janice Bryant, Thelma Butler and Betty Clay.
He is survived by: his wife Sherian Carter-Pitts; his children, Susan Pitts, Stephen (Mary Pitts), Stacy Pitts, Jeannie (James Bryant) and Carla (Steve Brown); his grandson Cody; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Bishop, Mayzi, Isabell, Clayton and Maddison; and his sisters, Ruth and Dorothy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the First Baptist Church in Ola, Arkansas.
