He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Elmer Raney and Cordie Jones Raney; his son David Raney; and his siblings, Glen Raney, Harold Raney, Jeff Raney, Mae Campbell and Maxine Gist.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Mae Gist Raney of Ola; his children, Jan Raney of Russellville and Mark Raney (Tamara) of Ola; and his sisters, Charlene Scoles of Centerville and Imogene West (Joe) of London. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
