He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester "Red" Broom and Sylvia Broom McDaniel; and his sisters, Mary Simmons of Wichita, Kansas. and Gusta Neal of Wichita, Kansas.. He is survived by: his children, Wayne Broom of Dardanelle, Pam Chambers of Lonoke, Michael Broom (Michele) of Atkins and Michelle Spears of Dardanelle; and his siblings, Glenda Griggs of Spokane, Washington and Pat Broom (Ann) of Park City, Kansas.. He is also survived by Papaw DB is survived by seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Arkansas Hospice of Russellville.
