He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stevens and Suzanna Caldonia Chryselious Stevens; and his brother George Perry Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Linda Stevens; and his children, Terry (Pat Stevens), Janet Stevens (Chris Norwood), Brenda (Steve Giglio) and Sheryl (Steve Rinehart). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
