He is survived by: his wife Wayvon Wright Stroud; his children, James Bienemann (Kimberly), Sherry Barbier, Cheryl Goldberg (Alex) and Michelle Nanoy (Larry); his siblings, Clay Stroud, Stanley Rainwater, Sam Stroud, Terry Rainwater, Randy Rainwater, Barbara Thompson, Sandra Hathcoat and Iola Herschell (Greg); and his pet Oreo. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
