He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd E. Wheeler and Nancy E. Hammond Wheeler (Laird); and his sister Sherry Keeton. He is survived by: his daughters, Niki Sanchez (Lino) and Elizabeth Ingland; his grandchildren, Arianna, Karolynn, Chase and Aunnastazia; and his siblings, Ronnie Wheeler (Darlene), Steve Wheeler and Kathi (Ricky). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
