He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmitt Sylvester and Pearl Laverne Hughes; and his brother Ronnie Hughes. He is survived by: his brother Paul Hughes (Sherry); his nephews, P. J. (Brandi) and Andrew Hughes (Gina); his great-nephew Hunter Hughes; his great-nieces, Liliana, Michelle Hughes and Annalee Branham (Chris); his cousin Jeanette Burroughs; and his daughters, Chanda Hale (Randy) and Melody Phillips. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and many cousins, friends.
