He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Zermatten and Louise Zermatten; and his brother James Zermatten (Jim). He is survived by: his wife Renee Zermatten; his daughters, Cherie Black and Kristy Dorsey; his grandchildren, Regan Black, Griffin Black, Lauren Black, Ashley Black, Emma Black, Weston Dorsey and Garrett Dorsey; and his siblings, Martin Zermatten, Jeannie Zermatten and Katherine Whitener. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
