We bid farewell to Herbert Edwin Schmitz of North Little Rock, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Herbert Edwin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Harris and Charles Schmitz; his mother-in-law Lou Parker; his sister-in-law Linda James; and his cousin Tommy Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Freeman Schmitz; his children, Brent Schmitz (Cayla) and Heather Kret (Jeremy); his great grandchild Malachi Irwin; his nephew Christopher James; and his cousin Esther Harris.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home - North Little (1921 Main St, North Little Rock, AR 72114). A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120).
