He was predeceased by: his parents, Bartley Sherman and Bertha Marie Parks (Scrudder); his wife Mary Janice Parks (Chadwick) of Valentine's Day; and his son Barry Sherman Parks.
He was truly passionate about donating to charities especially Arkansas Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
