He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Stewart and Ola Jean Stewart Fabie (Jones McKisson); his stepfather Greg Fabie; and his siblings, Penny Vest, Cheryl Ann "Annie" Schermerhorn and Harold L. Stewart.

He is survived by: his wife Carla Stewart; his daughter Kristi Stewart; his grandson Nash Scroggins; his sister Karen Dobbe (Ken); and his stepsiblings, Cathy McDevitt (Scott) and Greg Fabie (Joya). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and not to forget extended family.
