As Darrel departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Darrel. Though Darrel may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer N. Sumner and Leila Mae Sumner (Dorminey); his wife Barbara Diane Sumner (Chilldres); and his siblings, Jarrel Sumner, Kennon, Charles Waymon, Carlton and Barbabra Jo Sumner.
He is survived by: his daughter Darrah Love (Daniel). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a great number of friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Church (1401 Calvary Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72116). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120).
