He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Smith and Nancy Smith; and his sister Cheryl. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his son Clayton Smith (Stephanie); his stepchildren, Paul Rankin (Lisa) and Kelly Williams (Jeremy); his sisters, Sharon Steidle (Ken) and Melinda Wood; his grandchildren, Eliza Smith, Kennedy Rankin, June, Solomon and Thatcher Williams; and his brother Todd Mead. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lakewood United Methodist Church (1922 Topf Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72116).
