She was predeceased by: her children, Albert Sabb, Jr. and Latanisha Bates; her grandson Isaiah Bohanan; her parents, Ed Johnson and Allene Johnson; and her siblings, Herman Johnson, Nora Johnson, Juanita Jones, Geroldine Connors, Rutha Thompson and Edward Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Lawanna Bates, Tanita Bell (Dietrich), Leonard Bates, Jr., Nikilah Bates, Lesia Dilworth-Chunn and Angela Rainey; and her brother Howard Johnson. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
