He is survived by: his mother Cecilene Wells Sams of Ashdown; his children, Christopher (Robin Sams), Heath Sams (Dustin Sams) of Norman, Clarissa Jo Sams of Amity and Samantha; his son-in-law Daniel Hill of Malvern; his grandchildren, Alexander Sams, Collier Sams, Gabriel Hurtable, Adalynn Rinkle, Layla Rinkle and Hudson Hill; his great grandchild Thomas Qualls; and his daughters, Erica Williams and Myranda Hartwick. He is also survived by Papa Joe loved his family and friends.
