He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Phillips and Louise Phillips of Newport; and his brother Dr. Jacob Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Bette Phillips; his children, William "Schock" Phillips (Tammy) and Mary Lou Delcase (Ron, Sr.); his grandchildren, Ashley Kieffer, Ronnie Delcase, Trey Tatum, Jennifer Abouzenad, Cody Phillips and Ross Tatum; his sister-in-law Carol Phillips of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and his close friend Jo Vest of Jonesboro. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
