He was predeceased by: his parents, Vallie Columbus Godair and Hattie Godair (Bice); his wife Daisy Godair; his daughter Judy Prine; his grandson Auddie Prine; and his siblings, Telia Sherrill, Holleenie Godair, Jennie Chinn, Ruby Cannon, Pearl Hawkins, Martha Jane Scribner and Joe T. Bice.
He is survived by: his children, Lloyd Godair (Sharon) of Newport, Rickey Godair (Samantha) of Newport, Josephine German (Robert Murphy) of Newport, Rosa Yurjevich (Sam) of Westminster, Jennie Hughes of Newark and Dessie Gray of Magness; and his sister Rosie Smart of Magness. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
