With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Holmes of Newport, Arkansas, born in Tuckerman, Arkansas, who passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lee Tims and Ester Henley Tims; her husband Douglas Price Holmes, Sr.; and her siblings, Henry Lee Tims, Monroe Tims, Thomas Judson Tims, Charles Ed Tims, Lindell Smith, Alice Biggers and Kay Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Price Holmes, Jr. (LeAnn Evans Holmes) of Batesville and Deborah Holmes Hardy (H. Dwight Hardy, III) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee Hardy, Bradley Dwight Hardy (Laura Saulnier Hardy), Mary Elizabeth Holmes Miller (Zach) and Douglas Price Holmes, III (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Aidan Lee Hardy, John Douglas Miller, Parker Price Holmes, Maxwell A. Hardy, Wyatt H. Hardy and Margaret Louis Miller; and her sister Jeanne Wallace of Little Rock.
