Norma Selvidge Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma Selvidge of Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Norma may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Norma touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Spicer and Ida Spicer (Eddington); her husband Marcus Selvidge; her daughter Cathy Strickland Lane; and her brother Luther Phillip Spicer.
She is survived by: her son Michael Strickland of Newport; her grandchildren, Chase Curtis (Robin) of Jonesboro, Heather Strickland of Newport and Blane Fortune of Newport; and her close friend Darlene Pridmore.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Coffeyville Cemetery (8590 AR-367, Bradford, AR 72020).
