It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nola Laverne Cathey of Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Oliver and Effie Jane; her husband George Cathey; her children, James Edmond Cathey and Lisa Mitchell; and her siblings, Orvie Collom, Roger Collom and Letha Riley.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Cathey of Oil Trough and Cindy Cathey (Jim Ray) of Oil Trough; her niece Carrie Riley; her nephew Tim Riley; her grandchildren, Matt Cathey, Jesse Williford, Haley Cathey (Lynn), Cameron Cathey, Allen Cathey (Mary), Bradley Cathey and Kyla Ritter (Jeffery); and her great grandchildren, Piper Lance, Mason Lance, Kayden Cathey and Spencer Cathey.
