She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Henry and Emma Brown Sr. (Anders); and her siblings, L. D. Brown and Emma Ruth Brown. She is survived by: her children, Alvin Dupens, II (Kim), Stephanie Cox (Randall) of Newport and Serena Cox of Newport; her siblings, Bobby C. Brown of St. Louis, MO, Dan H. Brown, Jr. (Lynn) of Sherwood, R. J. Brown of St. Louis, Willie R. Brown of Newport and Shirley Williams (Eddie) of Newport; her grandchildren, Addison Dupens and Ander Dupens; and her great grandchildren, Alyric Cox, Hazel Burnett, Kalani Burnett, Aalyeah Cox, Detrick Brandon, Marmar Brandon, Zhniya Cox, Friar and Nilen Friar. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a lifetime of friends.
