She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Thomas, Sr. and Lola Thomas (Moody); her son Calvin Dale Mercer; and her siblings, Harold Thomas, Eugene Thomas, Betty Wilson and Wanda Stone.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Mercer of Newark; and her siblings, Calvin Thomas of Bradford, Joan Jones (Jerrell) of Newport and Erma Pennington of Palestine.
