She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Wheeler and Rose Wheeler (Coley); her spouse Clifton Talmage Helms; her children, Sharon Kay, Linda Helms and Aubrey "Buddy" Helms; and her siblings, Trace, Bill, Allen T, Ira "Sam", Buck Wheeler, Gladys McDaniel, Florence Borden and Grace Wheeler.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Linda Lou Helms; her grandchildren, Shanna Kennedy (Dan), Staci Grissom (Todd), Stephanie Smith (Shaun), Brittney (Ryan), Wubbenhorst and Jeff Helms; and her sister-in-law Mirl Helms. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; one great great grandson.
