He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillis Brooks and Mae Brooks (Smith); his former wife Azalea Brooks (Long); his wife Mary Brooks; his son David Brooks; and his siblings, Paul Wesley Brooks, James Brooks, Virgil Brooks, Oliver Brooks, Luther Brooks, Floyd Brooks, Juanita Tims (Brooks) and Margaret Owens.
He is survived by: his son Mark Brooks of Bryant; and his stepdaughter Sue. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of friends.
