He was predeceased by: his brothers, Forrest Boyd, Willie Taylor and Odell Taylor. He is survived by: his son Freddy; his wife Carrie Boswell Taylor; his children, Fredrick Taylor (Stephanie), Nyesha McDonald (Johnny Jr.), Lori Dixon (Kevin), Joshua Taylor (Ebony), Jeremy Calamese (Erica), Stacy Murry (Renee) and Michael Murry (Nikeba); and his siblings, Jessie Boyd, Preston Taylor, Terry Taylor and Naomi Calamese. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
