With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Franklin Davis of Newport, Arkansas, born in Weiner, Arkansas, who passed away on October 3, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eary Earnest and Ethel Viola Davis (Tanksley); and his grandson Jacob Davis. He is survived by: his wife Sybil Davis (Gunter); his sons, Michael Davis (Rhonda) of Cave City, Tony Davis, Tracy Hardy of Jackson County, Timothy Davis of Jackson County and Curtis Davis (Shelly) of Sulphur Rock; his stepchildren, Mark Tate of Searcy and Pamela Tate of Searcy; his grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Andrea Watson (Joel), Seth Davis (Laci), Sarah Hardin (Matt), Matthew Davis, Hannah Davis Gilmore (Rodney), Hunter Davis (Terran), Abby Hooper (Jacob) and Emily Davis; his great grandchildren, Case Davis, Georgia Davis, Noah Jack Hardin, Ella King, Trent Hardin, Lilie Davis, Jackson Hooper, Maggie Hooper, Alaina Watson, Luke Davis and Scarlett Gilmore; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Douglas (Andy), Boddy Clause (McKayla), Tate Stone (Mikah), Coby Stone (Amber), Morgan King (Victor) and Presley Gregg; his stepgreat-grandchildren, River, Briar, Cade, Cam, Zane and Maverick; and his siblings, Wayne Davis (Joan) of Midway, Ralph Davis (Dyann) of Midway, Kenny Davis (Mary Jane) of Tumbling Shoals, Barbara Jo Meade of Southside and Linda Fay McColough (Greg) of Baytown, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
