With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elaine (Garrison) Callahan (Newport, Arkansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Gerald and Dovie Irene Garrison (Bishop); and her sister Joan Smith. She is survived by: her husband Bob Callahan (Bob); her children, Cynthia Norris (Shannon), Perry Callahan (Prisscilla) and Robby Callahan (Casey); her grandchildren, Kyle Norris, Alex, Lane Callahan (Liz), Bethany Norris, Clancy Callahan and Rose Branscum; her great grandchild Lennon Callahan; and her sisters, Diane Mock and Lisa Tubbs.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jackson's Newport Funeral Home (1900 Malcolm Ave, Newport, AR 72112). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to the Swifton First Assembly Family Life Center at 500 Cathy St., Swifton, AR 72471.
