She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Houston and Vinnie Houston; her children, Isaiah Friar, Jr, Irish Friar Childress and Pamela Friar Davis; her granddaughter Aykenja Mitchell; and her sisters, Cora Mae Houston, Maggie Watkins, Bertha Brown, Marilyn Henderson, Winnie Williams, Nora Hardaway and Doraren Shepherd.
She is survived by: her husband Isaiah Friar; and her children, Lee Friar, Micheal Friar, Jerome Friar, Brad Friar, Arnett Friar of Newport, Christine Friar of Newport, Charlotte Dixon of Newport, Lenora Friar of Newport, Ikeshia McCoy of Newport and Daffeny Friar of Newport. She is also survived by forty grandchildren sixty plus great grandchildren and ten plus great-great grandchildren.
