He was predeceased by: his parents, Bynum Melton and Helen Ada Melton (Sherril); his grandson Matthew Stark; and his brother Dale Melton. He is survived by: his former spouse Miss Wanda Norris; his wife Wanda Melton (Norris); his children, Darrel "Bud" Melton, Jr. (Sarah) of Evansville, Indiana, Debbie Stark (Steve) of Newport and Cindy Honey (Ty) of Newport; his grandchildren, Stephanie Stark Jones (Tommy), Justin Honey (Hanna) and Taylor Honey (Tyler Shelton); his great grandchildren, Maddie Jones, Landon Jones, Beau Honey, Tate Honey and Macie Jones; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Melton of Memphis and Kim Warren (Billy Max) of Newport.
