Cherry Walker Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cherry Walker of Newport, Arkansas, who passed away on March 14, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall McKay Clark and Tinnie Clark (Evins); her husband Dean Walker; and her siblings, Harold Sutherland, Marquilla Lewis, Jean Goodman, Lola Baker and Roberta Pulliam.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Kim Walker Kerr of Carmel, Kelly Walker of Newport and Kay Walker Pate of Newport; her sisters, Dorothy Burgess (Donald) of Newport and Shirley Heatherly (Jimmy) of Newport; and her brother-in-law Curley Lewis of Newport. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jackson's Newport Funeral Home (1900 Malcolm Ave, Newport, AR 72112). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery (1000 Daugherty St, Newport, AR 72112).
