We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2025, at the age of 80, Betty Shelley of Newport, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Brown and Rosie Brown (Boone); and her siblings, Kenneth, Buckâ, Myron Brown, Edward Brown and Mary Roach.
She is survived by: her husband Carl W. Shelley; her sons, Michael Shelley (Melissa) of Newport and Eric Shelley of Nashville, Arkansas; her siblings, Ronald Brown of Smithville, Ellen Barner of Newport, Connie Prince of Newport and Kittie Jewel (Ernie) of Algoa; and her granddaughters, Michelle James (Jordan) of Batesville and Amanda Shelley of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jackson's Newport Funeral Home (1900 Malcolm Ave, Newport, AR 72112). Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
