She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank John and Gertie Shields (Eaves); her spouse John Aaron Posey; her son James Aaron Posey; her brothers, Charles Freeman Shields and Howard Paul Shields; and her grandson Billy Helvering.
She is survived by: her children, John William Posey of Victoria, TX and Carol Jane Stevens of Hot Springs; her sister Allie Mae Kirker of Newport; and her nieces and nephews, Dewayne Kirker and Betty Kirker.
