He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond F. Lacefield and Artie Coffman Lacefield; his son Scott Lacefield; his sister Selba; and his brother-in-law Jim Stuart.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Lacefield of Newhope; his children, Rick Lacefield of Nashville, Michelle Lacefield of Arkansas and Shawna Jules of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and his sister-in-law Gayla Lacefield of Nashville. He is also survived by five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and his brother.
