She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester D. Simon and Ruth V. Simon (Price); her husband Willard M. Cox; her son Gerald Cox; and her siblings, Desmond Simon and Mary Nell Sullivan.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Cox (Beth) of Sylva, Donald Cox (Elba) of Altea, Sharon Smith (Webster) of Newark, Arkansas and Curtis Cox (Jeanie) of Big Cabin, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Jesse Cox, Samuel Cox, Alethea Prince (Smith), Andrew Cox, Sophia Fischer (Smith), Evan Cox, Eric Cox, Carissa Watson (Smith) and KaCee Cox; her great grandchildren, Raleigh Cox, Lydia Cox, Moses Cox, Milo Cox, Caleb Cox, Oliver Prince, Wallace Prince, Amelia Fischer and Elliot Fischer; her siblings, Ouita Fay Northcutt and Wayne Simon; and her daughter-in-law Marcy Cox.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenview Memorial Funeral Home (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mars Hill Bible School in Florence, Alabama.
