She was predeceased by: her husband Wilburn Rutledge; her great grandchild Reagan Miller; and her sister Ruth Marshall. She is survived by: her parents, David Ewing and Gracie Ellis Garner (Moxley); her children, Kendall Rutledge of Newark, Connie Moss of Newark and Joan Goings of Batesville; and her siblings, Junior "Sonny" Garner of Magness and Wilma Barrentine of Graceful. She is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
