He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lorenzo "Toad" Staton and Eller Loretta Woodall Staton; his former wife Vivian Jones; and his son Roger Staten. He is survived by: his wife Alma Staten of New Blaine; his daughters, Rosetta Downard of Dardanelle and Joy Alderson (Gary) of Miltona, MN; his stepdaughters, Charlotte Parker (Don) and Sheila Bentley (Joe); and his grandchildren, Ken Edison (Nikki), Brooke Nebel (Josh), Desiree Walden-Chastain (Robert), Scott Parker, Marla Blaschke (Randy), Kelly Parker (Crystal), Joey Bentley and Hanna Bentley. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
