He was predeceased by: his parents, Daro Downey and Hilda Pointon Downey; his wife Penny Lynn Cooper Downey; and his stepparents, Harlan Watson and Marge Downey.
He is survived by: his son Dallis Downey; his grandson Corbin Downey; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan Keener and Jason Keener; and his siblings, Raymond Downey of Indiana, Chet Downey of Indiana and Joy Everett of Michigan City, Indiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
