He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Max Melton; his wife Patricia; his children, Russell Melton Jr (Terrie) of Kilber, Randy Melton (April) of Siloam Springs, James Langley (Jeannie) of Mulberry and Christy Shipley (Shane) of Van Buren; and his brother Clarence Melton (Rose) of Mulberry. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
